London City Airportis becoming more popular with it’s user-friendly services and central location. Anyone thinking that travel is on the decline will be thinking in the wrong direction. Flight departures and mulitple destinations from many different Airline Carriers seem to be on the increase.
I’ve never been to Italy, but it’s definately on my list of places to visit. It is No.5 on the top destinations for the most visited Countries of 2010. I’ve never flown from London City Airport either. At lease I don’t think so. This new service sounds great, especially for the business traveler. Italy would be the perfect location to take a city break or, a long weekend.
For frequent flying business people situated in and around the capital. The new route from London to Italy, departing from London City Airport. Could help cut your overall traveling time by an hour or more.
Using London City Airport to travel from London to Italy, will undoubtedly reduce your overall travel time. Naturally, if you live closer to Gatwick Airport or Heathrow Airport. The new route may not make a different to you. It is however, worth checking out if you could save time and money getting from London to Italy faster by the new route.

Lisbon has just won an award for Europe’s leading City Break. Given out by “The World Travel Awards”. The capital city of Portugal is a rising destination for holiday makers this year. I’ve been to Portugal, but not to Lisbon. I had a fabulous time in Cascais and Estoril but it was many years ago. I’m thinking it’s time for a re-visit, and Lisbon should be my next city.
Other Awards And Destinations.
Other awards were given to Yorkshire County in England for Europe’s Leading Marketing Campaign. Istanbul, turkey won the Europe’s Leading Destination. There you go, three more destinations for you to consider traveling to.
I have family who often travel to Turkey and always have a good time. I’m sure it is a great place to visit, it is also one of the most visited top travel destinations. I can personally recommend Portugal, having been there myself.
Yorkshire is also popular and has great English culture, heritage buildings and fabulous Countryside. If you are based in England, you should be able to travel to Yorkshire without too many problems. Plus, it would be a great place to spend a long weekend.

Long Haul Flight.
If you like far away destinations and the promise of warm climates. Then you might like a long haul flight, that will take you away to such a place. Below is a list of the top five destinations you could travel to, on a long haul flight. The list was based on a survey with the main holiday cost of, hotels, meals, drinks and overall value for money taken into account.
In case you are wondering what constitutes a long haul flight. That would usually be flights that have a non-stop flying time of 5 hours or more. From London to the Caribbean would be around 7:45 hrs, but from London to Thailand would be between 11:00hrs – 12:00hrs.
Top Five Value For Money Destinations.
It’s worth mentioning that the report did advise travellers not to forget Thailand, who slipped down to sixth place this year. It still has great value for money and cheap tourist rates. For information on even more holiday destinations – See Here.
There are a few important things you should bear in mind when taking a long haul flight. It is important for you to stretch your legs and keep the circulation going throughout the body. I’m no expert, andthis is advice from the medical professional and many airline carriers.
In the past their have been a few cases of deep vein thrombosis, (DVT), developing in passengers. DVT is blood clot developing deep in a vein. It can travel to the lungs and cause seriously illness or worse death. The message here is just make sure that you move around adequately when you’re on a long haul flight and there should be NO problems.
I’m told that some airlines even run mini excerise classes for their passengers. It’s fun and of course the movement is limited because of space, but it achieves the objective; keeping the body’s blood circulating.
