I just read an interesting article I thought I’d share with you all. It seems that two major Airlines have big plans to go into partnership. Air New Zealand and Singapore Airlines are opening up routes between the South Pacific and Asia. Very Cool!
If this new partnership passes the usual regulatory approval, it will mean a lot more flights between the two Regions. From what I read, Singapore Airlines will have flights to Wellington, and Air New Zealand will be flying to Singapore from Auckland.
Good news for travellers between the two Countries. I understand that if the new partnership is agreed, flights will increase by more than 25%. The new routes are due to start sometime in December 2014, just in time for Christmas, (did I say Christmas?)
For now, it’s a wait and see situation. Unless something drastic happens, I don’t see why the alliance shouldn’t go ahead.
In the meantime, if you are thinking about a trip to Singapore, check Singapore Airlines for some specials. For New Zealand trips Malaysia Airlines still have some sale offers.
Always remember to get the right travel insurance.
