Low Cost Holidays

Low Cost Holidays

This time of year, it never surprises me at the number of low cost holidays you can get your hands on.  The Trillion Dollar Travel Industry kicks into high gear when it comes to providing cheap holidays during this low Season.  If you book a last-minute week away now, you’ll still be able to get your holiday in before the Valentines Day increase.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve looked into many locations including the Caribbean. Whether it’s bed and breakfast in Jamaica, or an all-inclusive break in the Grand Canary.  Almost all-inclusive destination are coming up around the £400 mark.  If you want to jet away for a week, now is definitely the time to do it.

Even better news is that if you decide to visit a destination a little closer to home. Lets say, Turkey, Greece or Portugal, the prices are even lower.  I found several low-cost holiday packages from the Thomas Cook website. Prices ranging from £110 pp for 7 nights, which seems like a good deal to me.

Whatever destination you choose, shop a round Online or consult your local travel agent.  I know it can get a bit overwhelming when there are so many offers around. Sometimes it’s very tedious having to go through so many, but it’s worth putting in the effort, to find the best possible deals.

It’s easy to get carried away with the excitement of going on holiday, especially during the Winter Months.  I’ve been there myself, and will be again, and even if you are only going away for a week.  There is one other thing to bare in mind, even though 7 days isn’t very long.  Travel Insurance.  It can sometimes be overlooked when taking short breaks.  I would recommend always including it into the overall costs, even when booking low cost holidays.
